Harry Potter
HogsmeadeBrief Description: Hogsmeade is the only purely wizarding village in all of Britain. It has many shops, houses, and even a few pubs. It is located very near Hogwarts, and the Hogwarts students walk to Hogsmeade on the visiting weekends. Hogwarts also uses its train station to drop off their students. The first years take the boats to the castle, where the other years take carriages pulled by thestrals.
Shops, Dining, etc:
Dervish and Banges: A wizard repair shop located at the end of the street in Hogsmeade.
Gladrags Wizardwear: A wizard clothing shop that has addition shops in London and Paris. Harry bought Dobby some strange socks there.
The Hog's Head: A pub and inn in Hogsmeade that is full of odd people. This is the pub where Harry had the people who wanted to join the D.A. meet in, because it is less crowded than the Three Broomsticks.
Hogsmeade Station: The railroad station of Hogsmeade. The Hogwarts students go on the Hogwarts express in London and get off at Hogsmeade station (and the other way around at the end of the year).
Honeydukes Sweetshop: This is a great sweetshop that had loads of candies and sweets. It is owned by Ambrosia Flume and his wife. It is also one of the places that has a secret passage leading to it from Hogwarts; which comes up to the basement of Honeydukes.
Madam Puddifoot's: A little tea shop where couples usually go. It was very decorated for valentine's day when Harry took Cho there in Book 5.
Post Office: Has hundreds of owls. You choose an owl based on how far it is going and how fast you want it to get there.
Scrivenshaft's Quill Shop: A quill shop in Hogsmeade that Hermione bought a quill from.
The Shrieking Shack: Supposedly the most haunted building in Britain. It is said to have more ghosts in it than Hogwarts. The villagers of Hogsmeade said that they used to hear screeches coming from the building. It is all boarded up and has an overgrown garden. It is also a secret passage into Hogsmeade; but the Whomping willow is planted over it so nobody can use it. (As it turns out, it was never haunted, it was just the screeches of Remus Lupin turning into a werewolf. He used to stay in here while werewolf so that he could not hurt anybody).
The Three Broomsticks: A popular pub for Hogwarts students attend to get a butter beer. It is owned by Madam Rosmerta, who is described as an attractive with.
Zonko's Joke Shop: A great joke shop that was Fred and George Weasley's favorite (until they opened up their own joke shop). It is a great place to buy joke items and much more. The owner of the shop packed up and left in the beginning of the second wizarding war. Fred and George Weasley are looking at buying this and turning into Weasley Wizard Wheezes.
