The Volant Trust:
The Volant trust was set up by JK Rowling to support charitable causes. The trust has two main sections: Multiple Sclerosis and social deprivation.

Comic Relief:
Comic Relief raises money for countries in Africa and for disadvantaged people in the UK. Every pound that is donated to Comic Relief is used to help people, which they call the Golden Pound Principle. Jo wrote two books, Quidditch through the Ages and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which were meant to model real Hogwarts library books! The money earned from these books was donated to Comic Relief! So far the books have made over $30 million (15.7 million Pounds) for Comic Relief, and another $20 million (10.8 million Pounds) for other causes.

Amnesty International:
Amnesty International is a worldwide group of people who campaign for human rights. The people unite to work for a world where everybody has human rights.

The Multiple Sclerosis Society Scotland:
Multiple Sclerosis Society Scotland is a foundation that raises money and support for research and treatment of multiple sclerosis, the disease that killed her mother in 1990. Jo has contributed a lot of money to this foundation and donated money toward the creation of a new Centre for Regenerative Medicine at Edinburgh University.
